About
Mirjam Ravier is a dance maker and performer whose practice moves between performance and research within street/funk/club styles. Working across theatre stages, studios, and cultural spaces, she explores dance as both an artistic language and a form of embodied knowledge.
Her work investigates how movement carries cultural memory, identity, and collective experience. Through choreography, writing, and dialogue, she reflects on the relationship between varying dance practices and performance contexts.
Alongside her artistic work, Mirjam is active as a coach and organiser, contributing to the development of dance communities and the transmission of knowledge within the culture.

“Where my last performance ends, the next one usually begins. It’s an exploration of my position within this world, captured in what we commonly call “performances”. My process and fascination in ongoing and therefore never ending. For this piece, I dive deep into how anxiety draws you in, then wears you out. How it distorts and fragments the perception of reality, and how the mind is a powerful temptress, paving the way to what feels like insanity. What is left, when fear washes over you and leaves you stranded? It bled me dry, yet rendered me incapable of surrendering to anything else but the plain, unobscured truth of my fragile existence.
I welcome you, warmly, to experience the excruciating yet fascinating wild ride where fear leads the way, and we lean into the reality it constructs.”
